Many of our guests declare Amber Baltic is

THE MOST BEAUTIFUL GOLF COURSE IN POLAND.

We do our best to make it the most player-friendly golf course in Poland, too.

A 27-hole golf facility of Amber Baltic is prepared for holding professional and amateur tournaments. Amber Baltic Golf Club was built in 1993 and hosted, inter alia, the first Open Poland's Championships and the first Open Amateur Poland's Championships. The natural environment and diversified shape of the land create outstanding conditions for learning of and playing golf.

The club building called "Pineview" locates the club's office, reception, a shop with golf equipment and a bar with a terrace, giving a view of the golf course and the pine forests of the Wolin National Park.

On the 66 ha area, there are:

  • 18-hole golf course, called Amber (Championship, Par 72)
  • 9-hole golf course, called Baltic (Executive, Par 28)
  • training course (Driving Range)
  • Chipping Area
  • Pitching Area
  • 2 Putting Greens.

Characteristics of individual holes

18-hole golf course, called Amber

Hole nr 1

Hole

1

Par: 4
Handicup: 2

The tee shot is from an elevated tee and gives you a challenge with your first shot of the day. There is a natural drainage ditch, which divides the first fairway, and you must make your decision to carry your first shot 180 mtrs or to lay up. If you carry the ditch you will have a medium to short iron second shot to the green. If you lay up, you will be left with a long iron or fairway wood to the green. The green is guarded with a bunker on the left and water on the right. The green is of medium size and slightly uphill, with a relatively easy putting surface.

Hole nr 2

Hole

Par: 3
Handicup: 16

This is a hole not to be under-estimated. The water surrounding the tee area is just an optical hazard. It is a large green with wide swinging breaks. The green is guarded with bunkers on the left and short right. On the left side of the green there is a small ditch which runs parallel with the hole and heavy rough. Try to hit it straight of course, but if you're not able to do so, then miss it right.

Hole nr 3

Hole

Par: 4
Handicup: 10

The teeing area is set in a wooded enclosure, the tee shot must carry a small pond onto a large wide fairway. Ideally you want to hit the right side of the fairway, which opens up the green for a much easier second shot. The green is two tiered and quite large. It is also well protected with two bunkers short left and one short right. The right side of the green is also protected with a small embankment and trees on top of the embankment. This is your first real birdie opportunity.

Hole nr 4

Hole

Par: 5
Handicup: 3

The drive appears to be extremely narrow due to the trees lining the teeing area on the left, a water hazard running parallel to the hole on the right and out of bounds to the right of the hazard. The fairway is very wide and the tee shot should be played to the left side of the fairway. The second shot has to be thought out very carefully. The ideal shot is a medium to long iron shot to the right side of the fairway, which will avoid a small pond and well positioned trees on the left side of the fairway and open up the green very nicely for your third shot. The green is medium sized with strong breaks and slopes and is difficult to read. It is guarded with a small pond on the left, a bunker between the pond and the green, a water hazard at the back and out of bounds on the right. A net par on this hole and you've played well.

Hole nr 5

Hole

Par: 4
Handicup: 13

This hole doglegs slightly to the left and slightly uphill, with trees protecting the fairway on the left. The tee shot again should be played to the right side of the fairway to make for an easier second shot to the green. The green is large and has two tiers and is protected by two bunkers, one on the left and one on the right.

Hole nr 6

Hole

6

Par: 3
Handicup: 9

This is the most difficult of the Par 3's. From an elevated tee you can see everything right in front of you, hazards, trees, out of bounds and finally the green. The prevailing wind against you also makes this hole more difficult. The green is quite large and rises slightly from the fairway. There are no bunkers on this hole it's difficult enough as it is. Good Luck.

Hole nr 7

Hole

7

Par: 5
Handicup: 4

A difficult Par 5, course management on this hole is vital. The tee shot is the most difficult, there is water left, right and straight ahead. Aim your tee shot for the white marker in the center of the fairway, although you still must be careful with your club selection with the water immediately behind the marker. The second shot also poses extreme difficulty and again club selection is vital, there is water left, right and straight ahead again. The green is quite large, three tiered and is guarded by bunkers left, right and at the back.

493
475
438

Hole nr 8

Hole

8

Par: 4
Handicup: 6

A very deceptive hole, a relatively short dogleg to the right. It is crucial that you carry your drive over the drainage ditch and land on the left side of the fairway or you will find yourself blocked out by the pine forest on the right hand side. There is a small pond on the left to catch the over cautious player. Also, if you go too far left and find yourself off the fairway you will land in the waste area, which can result in a very tricky lie. The green is wide, but shallow in depth, so be careful. The back edge of the green is steep and any shot over hit can result in the ball landing in the pine forest at the back of the green. There is only one bunker on this hole and that's on the left side of the green.

331

Hole nr 9

Hole

9

Par: 4
Handicup: 15

A great little hole. The tees lie higher than the landing area and the green is slightly higher than the tees. The hole sits in a bowl shape and it is possible to reach the green with a strong tail wind and a good drive. The safe play is to lay up before the water with a medium iron and then you're only left with a medium to short iron to an elevated green. The green is well guarded with a steep embankment behind and two bunkers, one on the left and one on the right. There are also two other bunkers short right of the green. The green surface with many sharp breaks makes it a very difficult green to read.

Hole nr 10

Hole

10

Par: 5
Handicup: 12

An easy hole, but be careful, there's plenty of trouble waiting for you if you decide to challenge the hole. The tee shot is from an elevated tee and the ideal shot is a long iron or fairway wood and lay-up before the drainage ditch. If you're a big hitter you can carry the ditch and set yourself up with an eagle or easy birdie chance. Take the opportunity on the tee to see the beautiful landscape surrounding you. With your second shot you must carry two drainage ditches (if you decided to lay-up), this can be done comfortable with a fairway wood or long iron, leaving you with a short wedge shot to the green. If you took the challenge from the tee and were successful, then you are left with a medium to long iron second shot to the green. The green is long, quite large and sits in a bowl shape. There is water on the right and behind the hole, but no bunkers.

Hole

Par: 4
Handicup: 1

Statically the hardest hole on the course. The tee shot is to a slightly uphill wide fairway, try to keep your tee shot on the left or you might find yourself being blocked out by some trees on the right with your second shot. Against the prevailing wind it can leave a long second shot to green. There are three small ponds on this hole, the first is on the right side of the fairway, approximately 150m from the tee. The second divides the fairway and is 280m from the tee. The third pond is hidden in the light rough, short and right of the green, it only comes into play to catch the erratic shot. The green is long, sits in a bowl and is guarded by a wooded area on the right and two bunkers on the left.

The green is guarded very well by two bunkers short right and one green side bunker on the left. The ideal shot is the straight one, but if you're going to miss the green, then miss it right and you may be fortunate enough to get a lucky kick back onto the green from the steep embankment which also guards the green. The green is large and two tiered, with some tricky breaks.

There are two plateaus for the landing area and to safeguard your par on this hole it is important that you reach the second one. The second shot is to an elevated green. The green is wide, but relatively shallow, aim your second shot to the center or to the right, as it is very difficult to stop the ball on the left side. The green is guarded with a deep bunker on the left and three shallow bunkers on the right.
